Discover the beautiful Art of decoupage through an immersive, one to one creative experience designed for anyone wishing to learn a new skill, explore a new hobby and create something truly unique.

Decoupage is a deeply absorbing and restorative creative process.

During this private masterclass, you will transform a male or female mannequin  half torso (front and sides only) into an extraordinary piece of decorative Art using a carefully selected collection of beautiful decorative coverings, chosen by you)

With dedicated guidance throughout, you will learn the techniques needed to take your piece from a blank form to a professionally finished creation.

You will explore:

• Preparing your mannequin form
• Selecting and coordinating decorative coverings
• Decoupage application techniques
• Positioning and working around curves and contours
• Layering and overlapping
• Blending different patterns and designs
• Creating a cohesive overall composition
• Working with delicate materials
• Sealing and finishing techniques
• Correcting imperfections and refining your finished piece.
• Choice of finishes: Gloss / Matt / Sparkle 
• Applying gold leaf and decorative details
  

More Than Learning a Craft

Decoupage is an art that rewards patience, dedication and attention to detail.

As the hours unfold and you become immersed in the process, there is something wonderfully restorative about watching hundreds of individual details gradually come together.

The repetitive rhythm of cutting, tearing, positioning, layering, smoothing and refining can become almost meditative allowing the outside world to quieten while your attention settles completely into what you are creating.

There is no rush.

This is an opportunity to slow down, work with your hands and enjoy the satisfaction of seeing an ordinary form gradually transformed into something extraordinary.

Your Finished Piece

At the end of your experience, you will leave with more than a new skill.

You will take home your own beautiful, completely unique decoupage mannequin Artwork, created by you from beginning to end along with the knowledge and confidence to continue exploring the Art of decoupage independently.

Course Duration

• 10 hours of private one-to-one tuition
• 2.5 Days Creative Experience: divide your tuition across sessions, allowing you to return refreshed and continue developing your piece.
• Book as a group of upto 4 attendees and receive a reduced rate
  

No previous creative experience is required.

Once you have booked, you will be contacted to arrange your Private Sessions in advance. Masterclass Days are held on the following days:

NOTE 

Due to the intricate application techniques and drying times, total completion time may vary, therefore your piece may need to be completed at home. You will be given everything required to finish your Art to a professional standard.
