No artistic experience is necessary. Every stage is fully facilitated, making it an inclusive and accessible activity for teams with different personalities, abilities and creative confidence.

The experience unfolds in three meaningful stages.

1. CREATE – Exploring Life Through Colour

The journey begins with a blank white ceramic tile.

This represents us at birth: untouched, full of possibilities, with our individual stories yet to unfold.

Participants explore the beautiful art of water marbling, gently adding coloured inks to the water's surface.

Each element carries symbolic meaning:

The water represents life itself, including the circumstances, relationships and situations beyond our control.

The coloured inks represent our thoughts, feelings, memories and emotions.

The wooden stick represents our ability to influence our thoughts, perspectives and responses, even when we cannot control the world around us.

As the colours gently swirl together, participants become immersed in the creative process.

For many, this is an opportunity to slow down, switch off from workplace pressures and simply enjoy being present.

Each tile is dipped into the marbled inks, revealing an extraordinary, one-of-a-kind design.

Just like the people creating them, no two pieces are ever the same.

2. BREAK – The Power of Letting Go

Now comes the unexpected part.

After creating something beautiful, participants are invited to do something that initially feels completely counterintuitive.

They break it.

With a hammer and a deep breath, each participant carefully breaks their ceramic tile in a controlled, facilitated activity.

This moment symbolises letting go.

It might represent releasing self-doubt, accepting change, moving beyond disappointment or recognising that not everything in life can be controlled.

In the workplace, where deadlines, expectations and constant change can create pressure, this stage offers an opportunity to reflect on the importance of acceptance and adaptability.

3. RESTORE – Discovering the Beauty of Resilience

Inspired by the traditional Japanese art of Kintsugi, participants begin carefully restoring their broken ceramic tiles using gold coloured repair materials.

Rather than hiding the cracks, they highlight them.

The gold becomes a symbol of resilience, healing, courage and personal growth.

The message is simple but powerful:

The finished artwork is beautifully imperfect, completely individual and filled with personal meaning.
